Talent and leadership

We aim to build and support all talent through thoughtful recruitment, development and education programs.

Our goal is to minimize barriers and create access to opportunities at all levels of our organization. We promote work practices that encourage diversity of thought and continue to innovate how we recruit and develop under-represented talent, including at senior levels of the company.

IGM’s ongoing efforts to champion inclusion are recognized and celebrated, making us one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers.

Recruitment

We embed inclusion into our recruiting practices through campus engagement and recruitment activities designed to broaden access to talent.

Our Talent Acquisition and Inclusion teams work with strategic partners to accelerate transparent and consistent recruitment and selection outcomes.

We attract diverse talent through targeted partnerships, early career pathways and skills-based hiring.

For example, as the founding sponsor of Ivey’s Women in Asset Management program, we support ~50 students annually and host paid internships, alongside scholarships at Ivey and an annual Women in Asset Management conference that connects candidates with Mackenzie leaders.

Through IG Wealth Management’s Empower Your Tomorrow platform, we broaden access for diverse learners by partnering with organizations to build financial skills, career readiness and pathways into the financial sector. This includes our multi-year partnership with RRC Polytech, which provides Indigenous students with scholarships, paid work integrated learning and dedicated coaching that builds confidence, skills and career connections.

Further, programs like Avenue (for Black and Indigenous undergraduates in law), Accelerate Her Future, BlackNorth, Pride at Work and others further extend our reach across communities and reinforce our ongoing commitment to ensuring we’re hiring from a diverse talent pool.
